Tips for choosing clip moments
- Start where the point starts. A clip should make sense to someone who never heard the episode.
- Look for a hook in the first 3 seconds: a bold claim, a question, or a surprising number from the guest.
- Prefer stories, strong opinions and clear how to advice over small talk and inside jokes.
- End on the payoff. Cut right after the punchline or conclusion, not in the middle of the next thought.
- Mention your guest's name in the title when they are known, it helps both of you share it.
How long should a podcast clip be?

No. You can paste your own transcript, or leave it empty and Podclyp transcribes the episode automatically with speaker labels and timestamps. Automatic transcripts can contain errors, especially in names.
How are clips chosen?
An AI model reads the timestamped transcript and picks self contained moments with a strong hook, such as a clear insight, story or opinion. Each clip comes with the reason it was picked, and the strongest ones are marked as top picks.
How long are the clips?
You choose the number of clips and a length: Short (15 to 30 seconds), Medium (30 to 60 seconds) or Long (60 to 90 seconds). The length is enforced when the clips are cut.
Can I download all clips at once?
Yes. Each job has a Download all button that gives you every clip in one zip file, and each clip can also be downloaded on its own.
