Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Podclyp is a personal video-clipping and social publishing tool operated by Steven Weinstock (WE Capital LLC / The Wealth Clock podcast). This policy describes what the service stores and does with your data. It is a personal-use tool: your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising or any other commercial purpose.

2. Video files and generated clips

When you upload a video, the file is stored so it can be processed into short clips. The original upload, the generated clip files, thumbnails, and any transcripts or captions you provide are stored so the app can show previews and give you download and publish links. Uploads are stored privately; finished clips get permanent links so you can share them. Masters are automatically removed after a job completes, individual clips can be deleted by you at any time, and clips marked as posted are purged after seven days.

3. Account information

The app requires signing in. We store the email address and account identifier associated with your sign-in so your jobs and clips belong to you and only you. No other personal profile data is collected.

4. Connected YouTube and TikTok accounts

If you choose to connect a YouTube or TikTok account, the service stores the OAuth authorization and refresh tokens for that connection, along with basic account details such as your username or channel name. These tokens are stored strictly to enable publishing clips to your account on your behalf — uploading the video, setting the title, description, caption, and schedule you choose, and checking upload status. They are not used for any other purpose. You can disconnect an account in the app at any time, which stops the service from publishing on your behalf.

5. Google User Data (YouTube API)

What Google user data we access

Podclyp accesses Google user data solely through the YouTube Data API, using the youtube.upload OAuth scope. This is the only Google API scope Podclyp requests. Podclyp does not access, request, or store any other Google account data, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google service or Workspace product.

Specifically, the youtube.upload scope allows Podclyp to:

• Upload video files to the YouTube channel the user explicitly connects
• Set the video title, description, and privacy status the user chooses
• Schedule a future publish time the user chooses

How we use Google user data

Podclyp uses this access for one purpose only: to publish or schedule video clips that the user created inside Podclyp, to the user's own connected YouTube channel, at the user's explicit request (clicking "Publish to YouTube" or setting a scheduled publish time).

Podclyp does not use Google user data for any other purpose. Specifically, Podclyp does not:

• Use Google user data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Use Google user data to develop, improve, or train AI or machine learning models
• View, modify, or delete any YouTube content other than the clips the user chooses to upload
• Access any Google user data beyond what the youtube.upload scope permits

Who we share Google user data with

Google user data obtained through this integration is not shared, sold, or transferred to any third party. It passes only between the user's browser, Podclyp's servers, and the YouTube API, to complete the upload the user requested.

How long we retain Google user data

The OAuth access and refresh tokens for a connected YouTube account are stored only as long as the account remains connected. Disconnecting the YouTube account from the Podclyp dashboard immediately revokes and deletes the stored tokens. No other YouTube account data is retained.

Limited Use disclosure

Podclyp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. What is shared and with whom

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties beyond what is needed to run the service:

• When you publish a clip, the clip file and its title, description, or caption are sent to the platform you explicitly connected (YouTube or TikTok).
• Video processing is performed by an external processing service that receives your uploaded video and cut instructions, and returns the finished clips. It is used only to produce your clips.
• AI-generated clip suggestions and platform copy (titles, descriptions, captions) are produced by an AI provider that receives the transcript text of your video. It is used only to generate those suggestions for you.
• The service is hosted on managed infrastructure (Supabase) with data stored securely and access restricted to your own account.

7. Security

Data is stored securely via Supabase. Uploaded masters are private and only accessible through short-lived signed links; OAuth tokens and connection credentials are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser. Access to your jobs, clips, and connections is restricted to your signed-in account.

8. Data retention and deletion

You can delete individual clips from the app at any time. Uploaded master files are removed automatically once a job completes, and clips marked as posted are purged after seven days. If you want your account or remaining data deleted, contact us and we will remove it.
